I never get tired of watching Pickle ride a longboard. He has a tremendous amount of style and grace. Pure longboard elegance. Pickle makes it look too easy.

Sharp Blades
It feels good to shape again. Its been a while due to the lack of blanks but I've made nice order that should hold me over for a while. I shaped this eggy board for my friend Bobby Lurry. I think this is the smallest board Bobby has in his quiver. Since he is coming down off a longboard so I made this wider and just thick enough to accommodate accordingly.
Its 7'2 x 22 x 2 7/8 and it features a slight single concave into a slight rolled "V" out of the tail.

"Worthless"
Juan Jose Heredia or as most surfers know him as either "White Face Juan" or "Ghost Face". Juan is one of my favorite artists. He is also an extremely talented surfer and to top it all off he's one of my best friends. Any how he just sent me an email this A.M. with this LINK in it. Enjoy!
...... This is a recent short film of Juan drawing. The title of the film is "Worthless"

Backside Stubbin'
We've scored pretty well over the past couple weeks with the waves. Here is my buddy Ken setting up a clean north eastern barrel, going backside on a 2 + 1 stubbie I made for him a while back. The cute little hand foiled marine ply side bite you see peeking out of the water is identical to the one on the other side. Both are the work of Master Craftsman Daniel Partch.

Japan Stoked!
This is my friend Tomohisa Fujita. He is a photographer/surfer that lives in Japan. I met Tomo during the summer, when Canham, Ando and Pickle did there tour of Japan and then came to NY to pay us a visit. Remember that night? Anyhow Tomo was one of the traveling photographers that was documenting the Californians trip around the globe. He was super stoked! Tomo even gave me one of his photos and autographed it for me! I have it hanging in the shaping room. These are photos of him sliding on his 5'9 Grey Ghost single fin.
(Photos of Tomo were captured by his buddy Hide)
These are some of Tomo's photography.
