Long Tip Keel. I shaped, painted and made the fins for this board. It was all done for a friend of mine by the name of Bisse. He's a wacky guy from Sweden with and extraordinary personality. I wanted to do something extra special for him so I gave it a little more then usual. I even made the call to do one black future fin box and one white one (the peg leg). I had a lot different feelings and emotions while shaping this board. I feel that this is one of the most honest boards I've ever done. By honest I mean I did exactly what I felt like doing. No holding back. From shape to brush stroke and it was all a surprise. Bisse didn't know what to expect and when he arrived in NY I just put it in his hands. I was relieved when the grin on his face stretched from ear to ear. It was an exciting day for the both of us.

The Royal Standard

Another sibling in the Kidman/Clams series. This one, the only keel. The black sheep in the family of 2+1's. Keeping the equation simpler. Bound for the land of rain and fog.

Custom Long Fish Keel for "Domestic" Ty's (Formerly China Ty) brother Jamie...Keeping it semi-domestic on the other side of the pond! with the Australian/Italian collaboration board. This has got me thinking...Should we have name this board "The Transcontinental Bullet". This board will see lands and waves that I've never seen or surfed. There's something that really excites me about that. If surfboards could talk they'd have amazing stories to tell...

2008 Space Odyssey (Woodstock)

Say hello to the newest addition to the Grey Ghost fam. I call him Woodstock and he is 4'6". My brother bought the foam to make this board, for $2 at the rockaway swap meat. In its previous life it was a boring old 7'10 China "Funboard" with a thruster setup. It was snapped about 2' down from the nose so I didn't have much to work with. I worked out a template on some graph paper a while back and I figure this was an opportune time to give it a shot. Oddly enough I figured a way to cut the china thruster egg funboard down so that I had a perfect blank for this little guy. With minimal adjustment the rocker was exactly where I wanted it and all I had to do was put rail bands on it and turn them. I did this all by hand. No power tools. I'm going to foil my own fins for it and even glass it myself for old times sake. Stay tuned for the progress. Peace

Surprise!

My little brother is Gianni is celebrating his graduation and his birthday so I decided to surprise him with a custom 5'5" Steve Lis inspired Twin Keel. This biofoam based sculpture is destined to be adorned with Daniel Partch keel fins and the glassing works by Bryan Wynn.
