Collabo Emerald Barrel

My buddy Tony Farmer has been borrowing the beloved Collabo board that I did with Josh Hall like 2 years ago. Yes the board is still around and despite its slightly battered candy shell its still magic. This is one of him getting a little emerald tube action in the badlands of east NY. The photos were shot by Matt McGinley. Matt is a radd photographer check his stuff out here.

This is an the board I shaped for my buddy Juan Jose a while back called the Quevz model (pronounced, ke'vez not kwe'vz). This board is currently being tested and tweaked but will soon be available as a Grey Ghost model. The Quevz model will also come with an option to have the personalized Quevz paint job on custom orders.

I shape this board for my buddy Bobby. His son Jack is responsible for the totally awesome lam on the nose. Bobby is an extremely stoked dude and one of the funniest guys I know. To this day he is responsible for the best prank I've ever been a part of. I'll never forget that dude!

 I was fortunate enough to have the board passed along to me after Kirk Gee (Mackie's Rep and Consafo's King Pin), RK, TA, Ekstrom and Mark Wolfinger had their way with it. Its now been passed along for me to explore and test. I have to say, I'm completely blow away at the speed you get on this board and its ability to turn on a dime at light speed without even compensating with your style or foot placement.

Since I'm such a light weight I felt the Rasta Keels we're a little too stiff for me and wouldn't allow me to rotate a full 180+ on my cutbacks unless I was going super fast or way down the line. So I made my own fins. These are the experimental rudders I personally hand foiled for the board. I got to test these out in a range of different surf in puerto rico for the past ten days and the verdict is bueno!! I found that they are much more punchy through turns and definitely compliment the flex characteristics of the boards tail. I was able to even hit the lip vertically and the board would just swing itself back around.

This board definitely gets an A++ in my book. If you are fortunate enough to get one of these or find yourself on Micks shaping queue I highly recommend one of his flex tail twin pins! 

I have to give a big thanks to Mick, Kirk, RK, and all the others involved in getting this board into my hands. I'm super stoked on it!

Sharp Blades

It feels good to shape again. Its been a while due to the lack of blanks but I've made nice order that should hold me over for a while. I shaped this eggy board for my friend Bobby Lurry. I think this is the smallest board Bobby has in his quiver. Since he is coming down off a longboard so I made this wider and just thick enough to accommodate accordingly.

Its 7'2 x 22 x 2 7/8 and it features a slight single concave into a slight rolled "V" out of the tail.
